Temporary stage for open-air theatre

The project defines a temporary “frons scaenae” of a theatre- promenade built in the second half of the eighteenth century. The structure delimits the orchestra pit, the actors’ stage, copying the theatre structure as to amplify the forms and define an inner space for the public. The side abutments, which the doors architraves lean against, draw a new horizon line towards the inside, which cuts out only the faraway hill-tops, detaching them from the rest of the town and the surrounding valleys
